100 days, 100 cities and 100 organisations Campaign

In News 

  • Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga under Ministry of Ayush is organizing Yoga Mahotsav-2022.
  • Union Minister of Ayush and Ports, Shipping & Waterways Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, will inaugurate the event to commemorate 100 days countdown to International Day of Yoga-2022.
About Campaign 

  • The basic objective of this event is to give a wider promotion and publicity to various dimensions of Yoga and its utility and also to promote the 100 days countdown campaign to IDY-2022 for Health, Well-being and World Peace.
  • Also, to widen the horizons the Ministry of Ayush under the aegis of Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga is also starting a campaign: 100 days, 100 cities and 100 organisations between 13th March, 2022 to 21st June, 2022 across the globe.
  • The event will formally mark the beginning of the journey towards 8th IDY -2022, a journey towards freedom from disease, stress and depression.
IDY-2022

  • IDY-2022 is the 8th edition of International Day of Yoga. Following the footprints, this year, Yoga Mahotsav-2022 is being organized by MDNIY to give a wider promotion and publicity to various dimensions of Yoga and its utility, and to kindle a mass movement to promote health and wellbeing and peace across the globe.
  • Ministry of Ayush, being the nodal ministry for IDY in India, has taken the lead in organising seven successful editions of International Day of Yoga (IDY) which found great enthusiasm and worldwide support.
