  • Meity has launched the Technology for Air Quality Monitoring System (AI-AQMS v1.0).
About AI-AQMS v1.0
  • The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Kolkata in collaboration with TeXMIN, ISM, Dhanbad under the ‘National programme on Electronics and ICT applications in Agriculture and Environment (AgriEnIcs)’ has developed a outdoor air quality monitoring station to monitor environmental pollutants which includes parameters like PM 1.0, PM 2.5, PM 10.0, SO2, NO2, CO, O2, ambient temperature, relative humidity etc., for continuous air quality analysis of the environment.
About NAMP
  • The National Air Quality Monitoring Program (NAMP), administered by the Central Pollution Control Board, is a nationwide program for monitoring ambient air quality.
  • The network has 804 active stations that serve 344 cities and towns in 28 states and 6 union territories.
  • The National Air Quality Monitoring Programme's goal is to identify current conditions and trends in ambient air quality as well as any deviations from the established requirements.
