Delhi Airport adjudged best airport in India-South Asia

In News 
  • Delhi Airport bagged the title of India’s and South Asia’s best airport for a fourth consecutive year in 2022 at the Sytrax World Airport Awards.
Delhi Airport 
  • Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport also improved its overall world ranking from 45th last year to 37th, becoming the only Indian airport among top 50 in the world.
  • Skytrax is an international air transport rating organisation. Delhi Airport was also adjudged as the ‘Cleanest Airport in India and South Asia’.
  • Hamad International Airport has been named as the World’s Best Airport for the second year running, announced at the 2022 World Airport Awards that were held at Passenger Terminal EXPO in Paris, France.
Other Winner
  • Other major winners include Singapore Changi Airport, winning awards for the World’s Best Airport Staff Service and the World’s Best Airport Dining; Istanbul Airport won the awards for the World’s Best Airport Shopping and as the Most Family Friendly Airport. 
  • King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh secured the award as the World’s Most Improved Airport.
  • Nagoya’s Chubu Centrair International Airport was named the World’s Best Regional Airport; Copenhagen Airport won the World’s Best Airport Immigration Processing award.
