The 8th Governing body meeting was held virtually and involved the experts from India and Israel to widen the scope of the India-Israel Industrial R&D & Technological Innovation Fund (I4F).

About I4F programme

  • The India- Israel collaborative ecosystem has been broadened with the approval of 3 joint R&D giving new directions to boost research and innovation.
  • The projects include centrally monitored IoT nanosensors for molecular diagnostics in healthcare and screening applications, mosquito control biological solutions and IoT enabled satellite communication for real-time collection of agriculture and environment data across the country.
  • The experts recommended focusing on Partnership Development Activities that result in the increase of more business activities between Indian and Israeli companies and startups through online events. 
  • The I4F fund is a cooperation between the Department of Science and Technology, the Government of India and the Israel Innovation Authority, Government of Israel.
  • The Global Innovation & Technology Alliance (GITA) has been appointed to implement the I4F programme in India whereas Israel Innovation Authority is the implementing agency in Israel.
