INS TABAR VISITS ALEXANDRIA, EGYPT

INS Tabar, the Indian Navy’s frontline frigate reached Alexandria on 27th June 2021.

Ship Position
  • The ship is will remain in Alexandria, Egypt for two days as a part of a goodwill visit.
  • Both India and Egypt share pleasant bilateral relations with each other.
  • INS Tabar participated in maritime partnership exercises at sea with the Egyptian Navy Ship Toushuka.
About the exercise
  • The exercises included helo deck landing ops along with underway replenishment drills.
  • Moreover, these exercises exemplify naval cooperation and interoperability between the Indian Navy and the Egyptian Navy.
  • Indian Navy through their goodwill visit aims to strengthen strong relations between the two sides.
  • Additionally, the Indian Navy also aims to explore newer avenues of bolstering the relationships.
  • Indian Navy deployed INS Tabar to participate in the Russian Navy day celebration along with these joint exercises with the friendly navy of both Africa and Europe. Hence during these port visits, Tabar will transit across the Gulf of Aden, Red Sea, Suez Canal, Mediterranean Sea, and the North Sea.
