PM-Jan Arogya Yojna SEHAT scheme

PM-Jan Arogya Yojna SEHAT scheme promises health insurance cover to all 1.30 crore people of Jammu and Kashmir. They can get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh in any of the 24,000 hospitals across the country.

About the scheme
  • About 6 lakh families of the state are getting the benefit of Ayushman Bharat Scheme.
  • All 21 lakh families will now get the same benefits after the SEHAT scheme
  • Treatment will not be limited to government and private hospitals in Jammu and Kashmir only. Rather, thousands of hospitals are connected under this scheme in the country
  • The scheme will ensure universal health coverage, and focus on providing financial risk protection and ensuring quality and affordable essential health services to all individuals and communities.
  • The scheme will provide free-of-cost insurance cover to all residents of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir.
