PM Modi inaugurates Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi  inaugurated the Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya, or the Prime Ministers' museum, dedicated to all Prime Ministers of the country since independence. 
About Sangrahalaya
  • The Sangrahalaya honours the contribution to every Prime Minister of India since independence, irrespective of their ideology or tenure in office.
  • The Pradhanmentri Sangrahalaya is housed at the repurposed Teen Murti Bhava in Delhi.
  • It was the residence for 16 years of Jawaharlal Nehru, the nation's first premier, until his demise.
  • The museum integrates the erstwhile Teen Murti Bhavan designated as Block I, while the newly-constructed building is designated as Block II.
  • Together, the total area of the two blocks is more than 15,600 square metres.
