  • She is a biomedical researcher with nearly a decade of experience in cancer stem-cell research.
  • During the mission, she will be focusing her attention on stem cell and breast cancer research.
  • Barnawi is an outdoor and sports enthusiast who participates in adventures around the world.
  • She has scuba dived in Saudi Arabia and Indonesia, gone hang gliding, ledge swinging in New Zealand, hiking and rafting in Turkey and much more.
