World Homoeopathy Day

In News 
  • A two-day scientific convention is being organised in New Delhi under the aegis of Ministry of Ayush by three apex bodies, namely, Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy, National Commission for Homoeopathy and National Institute of Homoeopathy on the occasion of the World Homoeopathy Day (WHD) on 9th& 10th April 2022 at Bharat Ratna C. Subramanium Auditorium, New Delhi. 
  • The theme of this scientific convention is ‘Homoeopathy: People’s Choice for Wellness’.
About WHD
  • The World Homeopathy Day is celebrated each year on April 10 to pay tribute to homoeopathy and its contribution to the world of medicine.
  • The day is observed on the occasion of the birth anniversary of German physician Dr Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of homoeopathy.
  • Born in Paris on April 10, 1755, Hahnemann was an acclaimed scientist, great scholar, and linguist. He discovered the way to heal through the use of homeopathy. He died on July 2, 1843.
About Homoeopathy
  • Homoeopathy is one of the alternative disciplines of medicine that generally works by triggering the healing responses of the patient’s own body.
  • It believes that any sickness can be cured by inducing symptoms similar to it through doses of natural ingredients.
