  • It is an annual event, that is celebrated worldwide. It is the celebration of art, craft, science and history of photography.
  • The World Photography Day marks its origin to 19th century when two Frenchmen Joseph Nicephore Niepce and Louis Daguerre ‘Daguerreotype’.
  • It was a process associated with photography.
  • French Academy of Sciences officially endorsed the daguerreotype in 1839.
  • Before that, Joseph Nicephore Niepce had captured the first permanent photo of an object in 1926
