SAMPANN is helping the Telecom Department in the faster settlement of pension cases, improved reconciliation/auditing and ease of accounting.

About System for Accounting and Management of Pension Project:

  • This is an ambitious project of the Government of India and implemented by the Ministry of Communications (Controller General of Communication Accounts, Department of Telecommunications) introduced in the year 2018.
  • It is an online pension processing system and payment system for pensioners.
  • The direct credit of pension into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries is ensured.
  • Over 1 lakh people are getting pensions directly into their bank accounts through the SAMPANN project.
  • It has ensured recurring monthly savings to the Government of India on account of Commission being paid to Banks/Post Offices for payment of Pension which approximately amounts to Rs.11.5 Crores as of June 2021.
